You get lost in thought, like a dream. And then someone comes along and asks, what it is you are thinking about… erasing your entire world.

Dominic left his family to a Creole cottage in late 19th century New Orleans, when his wife developed a curious case of dementia. Abandoned by her husband, Eleanor rests in the care of her two children, Clara and Julian. Through contradicting narratives, each family member recalls the grim events following Dominic’s return; a far different man than the one who left. As Eleanor’s identity slips away, a new one emerges, leaving nothing behind but for the one memory she wants to let go; a ghost that continues to haunt her so…

Joshua Thaddeus Hill is a horror writer and poet in New Orleans, LA. Running around a cemetery near his childhood home inspired a penchant for the macabre. Joshua views horror as a reflection of human nature, an exploration of the monsters inside of us.
